Prince Rupert Gas Transmission Project
The Prince Rupert Gas Transmission Project proposes to supply the Pacific Northwest LNG facility on Lelu Island in the Skeena estuary, in the District of Port Edward through a 48” (four-foot) pipeline. The 900-kilometre pipeline began an environmental assessment in May 2013 and proposes to transport 2 billion cubic feet of gas per day, with the potential to expand to 3.6 billion cubic feet per day. The pipeline route includes a 12 km portion through the Nisga'a Memorial Lava Bed Park.
