The total flow of vehicles on toll roads in Brazil rose 0.2% from September to October, in the seasonally adjusted series, according to research by the Brazilian Association of Highway Concessionaires (ABCR) in partnership with Tendências Consultoria Integrada.
At openings, the flow of light vehicles remained stable (0%), while that of heavy vehicles grew 1.1%.

“The performance marks a positive trend, benefiting from the mostly favorable results of industrial production and retail sales, which stimulate demand for logistics freight”, highlighted, in a note, analysts at Tendências Consultoria Thiago Xavier and Davi Gonçalves.
On the other hand, they add, there are signs that suggest less expansion in family consumption, with a slower pace of credit granting and lower agricultural production, which creates limitations and some volatility for the flow of heavy vehicles on the margin.
In relation to light vehicles, this accommodation, analysts say, reflects the worsening of factors that favor demand for leisure travel, such as the reduction in the pace of credit. “Still, it is worth highlighting that this accommodation occurs at high levels”, they point out.
