MOSCOW (Reuters) – Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready to discuss Ukraine with Donald Trump, the president-elect of the United States, but that does not mean Putin is willing to change his demands, the Kremlin said on Friday.
The day before, Putin congratulated Donald Trump for winning the US elections, praised him for showing courage when an armed man tried to assassinate him and said that Moscow was ready for dialogue with the Republican president-elect.
Asked about a possible phone call between Trump and Putin, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said there was still nothing concrete to report and said it would be premature to talk about any improvement in ties between Russia and the US.
