Zuzana Čaputová, the then president of the Slovak Republic, earned the most from the performance of public office in 2023 among the three highest constitutional officials. This follows from announcements of the functions, jobs, activities and assets of public officials for the year 2023, which are published on the Parliament’s website.
Čaputová stated in the notification that she received an income of 189,363 euros for the performance of public office in the calendar year 2023. She did not state any other income. The ex-president also admitted real estate such as a family house, a cottage and arable land in Pezinek, as well as a built-up area and a courtyard in Pezinek. She also admitted car ownership, savings and two mortgage loans.
In 2023, the speaker of the parliament was Boris Kollár, after the elections in the fall of 2023, Peter Pellegrini became the speaker. Kollar stated his income as a member of the National Council (NR) of 52,847 euros, he did not mention other income.
He owned several properties, for example a house in Bratislava’s Old Town, Koh Samui in Thailand or Dubai, a cottage in Berg, Austria, and an apartment in Spain. Among the movable property, he listed real estate furnishings, works of art, and a collection of watches and jewelry. He also admitted deposits in banks, trademarks, securities, shares in joint-stock companies and business shares in s.r.o.
Pellegrini admitted income in the amount of 48,121 euros for the year 2023 from the performance of the position of a member of the National People’s Congress of the Slovak Republic. He did not state any other income. He owns a cottage in the territory of the village of Králiky, an apartment in Banská Bystrica, as well as an apartment in Bratislava. He also admitted the grassland in the cadastral territory of Lukavica. According to the property declaration, he does not own any movable property. In the material, he also mentioned savings, a share in a limited liability company, as well as mortgage loans. Pellegrini also admitted using property owned by another person. He uses the family house in the Vrakuňa district of Bratislava free of charge, as well as two cars.
Eduard Heger was prime minister until May 2023. According to the published declaration, he earned 50,795 euros last year from the performance of his duties as a member of the government and a member of the National Assembly of the Slovak Republic. He also did not report any other income. He owns an apartment in Bratislava’s Dúbravka, he also admitted a share in an s.r.o., as well as a mortgage loan. From May 2023, Ľudovít Ódor was prime minister.
In the asset declaration, he stated income for the performance of public functions as a member of the government and a member of the Banking Council of the National Bank of Slovakia in the amount of 122,554 euros and also stated other income in the amount of 122,899 euros. In addition, he admitted ownership of an apartment in Devínská Nová Ves and a share in the ownership of an apartment in Veľké Kosihy, as well as the furnishings of the apartment, a car, deposits in banks and mutual funds. He also admitted to using a company car.
Robert Fico (Smer-SD) has been the prime minister since October 2023. In the asset declaration, he stated income from the position of a member of the government and a deputy of 54,374 euros and also other income in the amount of 47,410 euros. In the material, he mentions a share in the ownership of a vineyard in Bratislava’s Rača, also a share in arable land and ownership of an apartment with a garage in Bratislava’s Old Town. It also owns a half share in savings and construction savings.
