US police in Seattle have arrested a man who stabbed nine bystanders over the course of two days, attacking five of them Friday afternoon. It was reported by the AP agency.
“This incident apparently involved an individual who committed multiple random attacks over a 38-hour period,” Deputy Police Chief Eric Barden told the media on Friday.

The attacks took place in Seattle’s Chinatown. Witnesses provided the police with a description of the perpetrator’s appearance, and the police subsequently located him near the crime scene and took him into custody without incident.
Four victims ended up in hospital in critical condition, one attacked was treated by paramedics at the scene of the attack and released to home care. Five more people were stabbed in separate attacks in the same neighborhood on Thursday.
“According to my information, they are all attacked alive,” added Barden.
