Every year, both children and adults look forward to a white Christmas. But how will it be this year? Will it just be rainy and muddy, or are we in for a classic Ladova Christmas? Look, we already know what Christmas Day will be like.
Every year people look forward to a white Christmas. Children want to play in the snow, they want to go sledding and bobsled, while parents and grandparents want to reminisce about the nostalgic times of their childhood, when it was snowing outside and the landscape was covered with heavenly white powder. Unfortunately, in recent years, a white Christmas has become more of an unfulfilled dream. It always snows in December, but not as much as we might like. But maybe it will finally work out this year.

Christmas through the years
Unfortunately, no one enjoyed a white Christmas in recent years. Everyone would like to experience the atmosphere from the past years, when every day of Advent was cold, the frost turned all noses red, and after school or work people went sledding, bobsledding, or even skating on the icy Vltava. December is one of the most beautiful months and Christmas is one of the most popular holidays.
Let’s pour some pure wine, when the children are looking forward to the arrival of Santa Claus, they always look out for him tensely from the window, from which the beautiful snow-covered city can be seen most of the time. However, in the last few years, global warming has put a huge strain on Christmas and Advent, so children can only expect a view of a muddy and rainy landscape. It’s sad, we have a little bit of ourselves to blame, but hope dies last. And every parent wants their child to experience the December atmosphere that they were used to every December.
Christmas this year
Unfortunately, we probably won’t have a white Ladovské Christmas this year either. As for the highest and lowest temperatures on Christmas Day, they are around 2 to 5 degrees Celsius. Unfortunately, this looks more like rain showers than snow.
However, it’s not like it doesn’t snow at all in December. The winter will be very hard and cold this year, which means that rain and snow will alternate. Therefore, you better prepare your sleds and bobs. Although it probably won’t snow directly on Christmas Day, during Advent, you will definitely experience snow fun.
