The former president () said he did not consider there to have been a split on the right in the municipal elections nor a shake-up of his leadership in this field, and of the rift opened in his electorate with the rise of () in .
According to Bolsonaro, those who want to divide the right were elected under his shadow and are unable to gather supporters even in a bar.
“The right has no owner. It has a leader, who is indisputable, and there are young leaders appearing across Brazil. There will always be someone there wanting to divide what is called the right nowadays. They won’t be able to. They are frustrated, I even put one affectionate name, they are intergalactics who have to show what they came for. They were all elected in my shadow, or in my wave, and they quickly turn against us”, he stated.
Bolsonaro was referring, among others, to Marçal, the governor of Goiás, (), and his former Minister of the Environment, the current federal deputy (Novo-SP).
“The right has no owner. There are guys who want to impose themselves as leaders. You don’t win leadership, you conquer it. So, there are some intergalactics there. They run a bar in São Paulo, no one goes.”
Marçal received support in his campaign from several Bolsonaro supporters and also from a large part of the former president’s electorate, despite Bolsonaro officially having embarked on the re-election of ().

Salles, in turn, had his candidacy for mayor of São Paulo rejected in the name of the PL’s alliance with Nunes. From then on, the relationship with the former president shook.
“So Salles, who back there was like that with Alckmin [quando ele ainda era do PSDB e governava São Paulo]as secretary. After [João] Amoedo [ex-presidente do Novo]who later says he voted for Lula, then stayed with me, he was elected thanks to Eduardo [Bolsonaro, também deputado federal]. Then he became a ‘marçalete’. Now he’s a widower,” said Bolsonaro.
“It’s envy, it’s unfortunately something that exists in human beings.”
The former president also commented on the statement by Mayor Ricardo Nunes, who after being re-elected called the governor of São Paulo, (Republicans), a “greatest leader”.
“He’s a great leader in the state, it’s true… no one is going to provoke me,” said Bolsonaro, indicating once again that the Bolsonaro governor only plays a leadership role in the state of São Paulo.
Asked who the name of the right would be in 2026 if he remains ineligible, Bolsonaro repeated again that the name is him.
“Only after I’m dead. Before I’m dead, there’s no name politically. Ask Tarcísio what he thinks. He’s been saying, I’m the candidate. My continued ineligibility is proof that democracy in Brazil is over. .”
