Businessman Antônio Vinícius Lopes Gritzbach, shot at Guarulhos airport this Friday (8), was the target of an attack on the building where he lived at Christmas last year.
According to one of Gritzbach’s lawyers, he was in his apartment in Jardim Anália Franco, in the east zone of São Paulo, on the afternoon of December 25th, when he went to the window to take a photo of the moon. At this moment, shots were fired in his direction.
No one was injured in the attack, but the Civil Police opened an investigation to investigate what happened. See images of the moment of the attack:
According to the lawyer, Gritzbach and his family had received threats from the PCC since the end of 2022, after the death of two influential members of the criminal organization: Anselmo Becheli Santa Fausta, aka “Cara Preta”, and Antônio Corona Neto, aka “Sem Sangue” .
According to information obtained by CNNthe faction offered a prize of R$3 million for .
Businessman sold luxury properties and made investments with “Cara Preta”
Antônio Vinícius Lopes Gritzbach had a degree in administration and engineering. Coming from a middle-class family, Gritzbach was used to moving among influential and wealthy people as he sold high-end properties in various neighborhoods in the capital of São Paulo.
According to one of his lawyers, it was in this context that he met Anselmo Becheli Santa Fausta, “Cara Preta”. According to him, Anselmo presented himself as a manager of football players and owner of bus companies.
Gritzbach sold several luxury apartments to “Cara Preta” in the Tatuapé and Jardim Anália Franco region. They developed a friendship because, according to the lawyer, Gritzbach was used to doing this type of “networking” with several of his clients.
In this context, the two would have met cryptocurrency investor Pablo Henrique Borges. Both would have made investments with Pablo, who has already been arrested on suspicion of having participated in a financial scheme that caused a loss of R$400 million in third-party bank accounts.
According to the defense, both Gritzbach and “Cara Preta” lost money on the investment. Pablo would have owed R$6 million to Gritzbach and around R$70 million to the top PCC member.
The defense maintains that Gritzbach was identified as having ordered the death of “Cara Preta” because he was a scapegoat.
However, sources linked to the investigations reveal that “Cara Preta” himself began to suspect embezzlement and began an escalation of demands, demanding that Gritzbach “account for the profits obtained”, according to investigation documents.
As suspicions intensified, “Cara Preta” became convinced that he was being deceived and demanded the full return of the amounts. As there was no way to return it, Gritzbach allegedly ordered the death of the influential member of the criminal organization.
The police identify the businessman as his driver, “Sem Sangue”, in December 2022, in Vila Formosa, east of São Paulo.
