Corinthians’ moment in the current Brasileirão has never been so good. In addition to the four unbeaten games, Timão is out of the relegation zone and reaches the 33rd round after winning the classic against Palmeiras 2-0 at the beginning of the week. The duel against Vitória takes place this Saturday (9), starting at 4:30 pm.
The motivation for momentum in the final stretch of the Brazilian Championship, however, will need to deal with unforeseen events. Argentine coach Ramón Díaz will not be able to count on four defenders for the clash. On the other hand, midfielder Igor Coronado served his suspension and is back.
Injured, the defenders and Cacá are absent in Salvador. With the low number of defenders in the squad, the tendency is for the coach to return to the scheme with four defenders. Suspended for the third yellow card against Palmeiras, full-backs Matheuzinho and Hugo give way to Fagner and Matheus Bidu as starters against Leão.
Probable Corinthians lineup: Hugo Souza, Fagner, Félix Torres, Gustavo Henrique and Matheus Bidu; José Martínez, Carrillo, Alex Santana (Charles) and Garro; Memphis and Yuri Alberto.
