The state imposed fines of more than 2.7 million euros for pandemic offenses. Only less than a million euros were paid out of them. The Ministry of the Interior (MV) of the Slovak Republic informed about this on its website.
“Preliminary estimates include more than 17,000 invoices for meals in quarantine facilities and approximately 58,000 records of offenses under the Public Health Act and the Civil Protection Act,” said the department.
According to the ministry, the total amount of the invoiced meal allowance is over 1.5 million euros. The invoices paid were in the amount of approximately 1.36 million euros.
On Wednesday (November 6), the government approved a draft law on the compensation of natural persons in connection with anti-pandemic measures, which still needs to be passed by parliament. The cabinet also approved a resolution on granting amnesty in cases of offenses committed in connection with anti-pandemic measures.
