At COP30, the expectation is that countries will present targets for reducing greenhouse gases. Without the participation of the United States or any other country, says Helder, the issue must be taken to the United Nations to ensure that “any absences do not create any type of weakening of the importance of the deliberations.”

It is a clear demonstration that it is not possible to give up to face the problem. I believe that the human, environmental, social and economic impacts will not allow any government to stand back from facing this agenda and collectively building the solution”, he concludes.
