Justice rejects Bolsonaro’s conviction in the case “painted a mood”

The 1st Children and Youth Court of the Federal District rejected the Public Ministry’s request to convict the former president (PL) in the case involving Venezuelan migrants in the 2022 electoral campaign. “painted a mood” with the girls.

The decision also rejected the MP’s request for compensation. He stated that “lacked legal foundations” to justify the conviction.

October 2022 Affair

On X, the terms “painted a mood” and “Bolsonaro pedophile” were among the most commented topics in Brazil on the social network.

In response, the then president broadcast live on Facebook 2 days after the case. Bolsonaro stated that he only showed “indignation” with the situation of Venezuelan women. He also said that the PT “exceeded all limits” to the “cut out pieces” from the video to “distort” and imply that he was “behind the program”.
