A man was shot to death on Friday afternoon (8), at São Paulo International Airport, in Guarulhos (SP). The crime occurred at the entrance to Terminal 2, one of the busiest sectors of the airport.

The Fire Department was called, but the victim succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene. According to initial information, another person was also hit by gunfire.

The Department of Homicide and Personal Protection (DHPP) was also called and has already started investigating the case.

According to information from the portal UOLthe victim would have been businessman Antônio Vinícius Lopes Ggritzbach, who had already been “sworn to death” by the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC), the largest criminal faction in the country. The website reports that Antônio was the pivot of an internal war within the PCC.

The police are investigating whether the murder was committed at the behest of the criminal organization, but other possibilities are not ruled out – such as “file burning”, as the victim had reached a plea bargain agreement and had several enemies.

Antônio and prison officer David Moreira da Silva were accused by the Public Ministry of the State of São Paulo (MPSP) for the murders of Anselmo Becheli Santa Fausta, the “Black Face”, and Antônio Corona Neto, the “Sem Sangue”. Both were shot dead in 2021, in the east zone of the capital of São Paulo.

According to the MPSP, Cara Preta was one of the most influential members of the PCC and was involved in international drug trafficking and other crimes. Without Blood would be his “right arm”.

Antônio and David were arrested and reported to court for the crime, but were released from the case.

The businessman left the Presidente Venceslau (SP) penitentiary in June last year, wearing an electronic ankle bracelet. Antônio’s lawyers claimed that their client was at risk of being killed by the PCC inside the jail.
