In accordance with the decision, the EUMAM Ukraine mission will cooperate with the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO), in particular with the NATO Security Assistance and Training Mission for Ukraine (NSATU).
The Council of the EU adopted the decision to establish the mission initially for two years on October 17, 2022. So far, thanks to the mission, approximately 63,000 soldiers have been trained. In the following months until the end of winter, the Union plans to prepare another 15,000 Ukrainian troops in its member states for the fight against Russia.
