With Christmas approaching, holiday lovers and experts are wondering whether we will be pleased with snow this year. According to the portal, the first models show that it will attack after all. However, the whole winter is supposed to be below average in terms of snow showers. And January is supposed to be out of the ordinary.
Global weather will be affected by the La Niña phenomenon. In December, less snow will fall, except for Scandinavia. Snowfall will significantly decrease in Central and Western Europe in January, which will certainly not please winter sports lovers. February will also be below average for them. But then there should be more snow. For example, the western Alps are waiting for a good deal. The first March forecasts indicate that there should be little snow in Europe then. The exception is again the northern parts.
As meteorologists agree in several forecasts, this year’s winter will indeed be above average in temperature. It can be colder in Scandinavia and Eastern Europe. Polar currents could affect the beginning of winter there.
