Presenter would participate in the program this Saturday morning (9); according to his wife, he hit his head after a fall at home.
The presenter, 80, will not participate in the Telethona charity campaign promoted by SBT, after suffering a domestic accident. The information was confirmed by the artist’s wife, Maria Cristina Rangeland by the broadcaster to Estadão this Friday, the 8th. Ronnie would appear on the program this Saturday morning, the 9th. According to Maria Cristina, the presenter hit his head after a fall at home. The couple lost a batch of carp and Ronnie slipped while checking the situation in the lake.
“There was only one little fish left and he saw that bamboos were growing in the middle of the grass [do jardim]. […] He went to tell the gardener that he was here today to remove [os bambus]. But he slipped on a large ramp that I have here at home. I saw the fall and it was strong, very strong”, she narrated. The presenter carried out tests at a doctor’s office which did not show any changes. However, on recommendation, he will have to remain under observation for 48 hours. According to Maria Cristina, Ronnie is doing well.
In July, the artist gave an interview to Estadão in which he reflected on his reaching the age of 80 and his career on television. “I’m far from feeling like an old man,” he said at the time.
