In an outburst on Instagram this Thursday (7), dressmaker Ednéia Carvalho, wife of former minister Silvio Almeida, said that it has not been easy to “live with injustice” in the last two months. Her husband was fired by the president (PT) in September, after, and is the subject of an investigation, authorized by the (Supreme Federal Court).
“These last two months have not been easy, living with injustice, having your peace taken away is something I don’t even know how to explain”, wrote Ednéia.
The dressmaker posted a photo featuring her, Silvio Almeida and the couple’s daughter and also said: “I’ve been motherhood for 1 year and 3 months and the feeling is that the postpartum period isn’t over.”
“There’s so much talk about feminist issues, but that same feminism didn’t welcome me, I’ll never forget the times I had to breastfeed my daughter in the midst of deep sadness.”
She also stated that she “really regrets that serious issues are being trivialized by personal interests, but despite everything, I’m fine, I continue to take care of my family.”
Ednéia said that her family was welcomed by many friends and abandoned by others. “I’m happy to be in my home (SP), BSB [Brasília] It didn’t do me any good, I’ll miss the good friendships we made there, that’s all, but those same friendships we’ll have for life”, she said.
She also said that, “in the midst of this hurricane”, she and her husband were sure to have friends who are “the most companionable, the most faithful”.
“There were those who jumped ship, there were those who let go of our hand, but a minority that became irrelevant, such was the support network we received, including right here in the same network that massacred my family”, he stated.
She concluded with a message to her husband: “We continue to look forward to justice, my love, count on me always, I love you so much!”
Silvio Almeida’s resignation occurred after the Minister of Racial Equality, reported having suffered from her colleague. The minister told Veja magazine that there were “inconvenient attitudes” on Almeida’s part, such as inappropriate touches and impertinent invitations, but that she did not report the episodes for “fear of discredit and judgment”.
