Four men suspected of being part of the Red Command in Bahia died after a confrontation with police officers, on Friday (8), in the city of Conceição do Almeida, around 168 kilometers from the capital of Bahia.

During the arrest attempt, there was a confrontation and four suspects were injured. They were rescued, but did not resist.

According to information from the Public Security Secretariat (SSP-BA), the group was suspected of being involved in drug trafficking by this criminal organization on the Island of Vera Cruz, which is in the metropolitan region of Salvador.

Intelligence actions showed that the quartet, involved in homicides, robberies and corruption of minors, would seek hiding in communities in Rio de Janeiro, where leaders of the same group meet.

However, they were located during an integrated operation by the State Security Forces.

Also according to the Secretariat, the suspects used to publish photos with weapons on social media. With them, 16 explosive devices, submachine guns, revolvers, magazines and ammunition were seized.

On November 5th, in the Southern Cone, on the banks of the Cairu River, in Bahia, the same group clashed with police and fled. Ammunition, magazines and a grenade were abandoned by the suspects on that occasion.
