Next week, A and TV will launch the documentary series “Senado, the History that Transformed Brazil”, in celebration of the 200th anniversary of the Legislative House. The launch event will take place on Wednesday (13), in Brasília.
Produced by TV Cultura and directed by TV Senado, the series is written and directed by Luiz Bolognesi, co-directed by Laís Bodanzky and presented by actress and singer Larissa Luz. The premiere will be on Friday (15) on TV Senado (at 9pm ) and on TV Cultura (at 10pm). It will also be available on Cultura Play. It is divided into seven 52-minute episodes.
The series highlights decisive moments in Brazilian legislative history, narrated in historical audios and videos, by historians, experts and characters on the topics under discussion: retirement, vacations, protection of women and children, labor laws, protection of rivers and forests, right to free health and education, reparations for victims of historical violence, among others.
The series also answers basic questions about the functioning of the Senate and the work of its 81 members.
