The champion of the 2024 edition of the Copa do Brasil will be announced soon, at 4pm. Atlético-MG and Flamengo play the second leg of the final this Sunday, at Arena MRV, in Belo Horizonte.
The Rio club is at an advantage, after the 3-1 victory in the first leg, at Maracanã. But, in addition to the tournament cup, the two teams are also competing for the competition’s financial prize.
According to the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), the finalists will share a prize pool of R$105 million – the largest in the history of the Copa do Brasil.

The champion will receive the majority of the amount, R$73.5 million, and the runner-up will receive R$31.5 million.
In total, around R$500 million was disbursed to the 92 participating clubs.
Flamengo has already won the Copa do Brasil on four occasions. Atlético Mineiro won the competition’s cup twice.
