Members of Parliament around Rudolf Huliak (unclassified) they are asking for one ministry from the portfolio of the coalition Slovak National Party (SNS), on whose candidate they were elected to parliament. They are primarily interested in the environment department. This follows from the resolution of the Republican Assembly of the National Coalition/Independent Candidates (NK/NEKA) party, of which Huliak is the chairman. The Assembly was held on Saturday in Očová.
“The chairman of the party is authorized to conduct negotiations on a written commitment, possibly on the extension of the coalition agreement or on the conclusion of a memorandum on cooperation between the coalition and NK/NEKA as other coalition partners,” the Republican Council requests in the resolution. At the same time, the council ruled out any individual negotiations with the three deputies and concluding partial agreements. According to the resolution, negotiations are to take place only with coalition leaders.
The resolution states that the Republican Council requests to establish rules “for the appearance of NK/NEKA deputies in the National Council of the Slovak Republic, which they will ensure the smooth running of parliamentary sessions and compliance with the principles of the coalition agreement.”
The Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic Robert Fico (Smer-SD) on Saturday in the STVR talk show Sobotné dialogy declared that he had not heard from Huliak that the three deputies demanded the post of minister. He called their disputes with Andrej Danko (SNS) an internal problem of the SNS.
