Project by congresswoman Erika Hilton has 79 signatures; 171 are needed to start processing

The project to end the working day 6Ă—1 it already had 79 signatures as of this Saturday (Nov. 9, 2024). The proposal gained repercussion this week on social media.

Authored by the deputy (Psol-SP), the text was announced by the congresswoman on May 1st, but the content has not yet been released.

The initiative is part of the “Life beyond work” movement, which states that the 6×1 journey, that is, 6 days of work for 1 day of rest, is abusive and compromises healthwell-being and employee relations.

“This takes away workers’ right to spend time with their family, to take care of themselves, to have fun, to look for another job or even to qualify for a better job. According to the deputy’s press office, 79 deputies have already supported the text.

As it is a PEC (Proposed Amendment to the Constitution), needs 171 signatures of deputies to begin processing. Then, to be approved, 308 votes are needed in 2 rounds of voting.

PT and Psol are the parties with the most signatories to the project: 40 of the 68 deputies from the party (PT) signed. In Psol, there were 12 of the 13 deputies. The only one not on the list is the deputy (Psol-RJ).
