Firefighters continue to fight the forest fire in Valaská Bela: They also used a helicopter to help!

For more than 18 hours, firefighters have been fighting a forest fire in the village of Valaská Belá in the Prievidza district. As Zuzana Geguššová, spokeswoman for the Presidium of the Fire and Rescue Service (HaZZ), confirmed for TASR, 29 professional and 95 volunteer firefighters are currently responding.

“A helicopter will be deployed for firefighting of the Ministry of Defense of the SR UH-60M Black Hawk and the ground firefighting module group center,” explained Geguššová. The fire broke out on Saturday (November 9) in the afternoon in inaccessible terrain, while the area of ​​the fire was originally 100 x 100 meters.
