Striker Yuri Alberto has been one of those responsible for taking Corinthians out of the relegation zone and putting them in the fight for a place in the next edition of the Copa Libertadores. The player admitted that he is at the best moment of his career and is already dreaming of a place in the Brazilian team, currently led by coach Dorival Júnior.
“I’m very happy with my moment here at Corinthians. It’s my best year ever, not only at Corinthians, but in my career. Last year I had difficulty, but I always managed to help with goals, I scored 15. Today, I’m happy here, but the The future belongs to God”, said the attacker, who revealed his next objectives.
“It’s a goal of mine. One of the biggest. So, I believe that by doing my job here, giving myself on the field, I believe that people are watching, they are watching”, he added.
Despite being misleading about the future, Yuri Alberto is unlikely to leave Corinthians anytime soon. The striker has a contract until the end of 2017 and has been one of the main names in the team led by coach Ramón Díaz.
The 23-year-old player reached the mark of 26 goals this season, in addition to six assists. His best year was in 2021, when he scored 19 times. At Corinthians it was last year. On that occasion, he scored 15 goals.
Corinthians comes from four consecutive victories in the competition, with 41 points. In the next round, the challenge is against Cruzeiro, on Wednesday, at 11am, at Neo Química Arena, for the 34th round.
