The mayor of , (), resigned from the position of chief of staff of the Municipal Secretariat of Infrastructure and Works. showed Olivatto’s connections with the champion contractor for emergency works at the secretariat, Fernando Marsiarelli.
According to a publication in the Official Gazette, the dismissal took place at the request of Olivatto himself, who is a career employee of municipal management.
Marsiarelli is the owner of FFL Sinalização, Comércio e Serviços, a company that signed the most emergency contracts with Siurb, the department in which Olivatto worked, during Nunes’ management. They were used to restore bridges, drainage systems and containment of river banks in the city.
Olivatto lives with his family in one that belongs to the businessman and used another apartment of his to open two private companies.
Olivatto was one of the main people in the municipal election. In October, Guilherme Boulos (PSOL) published a video showing the then chief of staff, a company that has contracts with São Paulo City Hall, to ask for a vote for the mayor.
Experts consulted by Sheet assessed that the initiative could constitute an electoral crime. At the end of October, Olivatto left the São Paulo Public Ministry.
Boulos also said repeatedly during the campaign, starting in , that Olivatto is the brother of Ana Maria Olivatto, who died more than 20 years ago and was married to Marcola, head of the PCC.
The mayor argued, in turn, that Olivatto has been a career employee of São Paulo City Hall since 1987 and that he did not deal directly with emergency works contracts. He also said, in a note, that he did not know the address where the employee lived.
