Russian air defense systems destroyed ten drones that were flying toward Moscow early Sunday morning, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said. The Russian Aviation Authority has announced that Moscow’s Domodevovo and Zhukovo airports have temporarily stopped operations. It was reported by the Reuters agency, writes TASR.

Sobianin wrote on the social network about the two downed drones, saying that preliminary information does not show any damage or victims at the site of the impact of the debris. He later added that another eight drones were shot down.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reports 23 drones shot down overnight

Officials of Russia’s Bryansk and Kaluga regions previously reported that Ukraine’s nighttime drone strikes led to fires in several non-residential buildings. According to them, emergency services and firefighters are on the scene. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported 23 drones shot down overnight, 17 of them over the Briansk region bordering Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian authorities reported at least two injured people and destroyed buildings in a night attack by a Russian drone in southern Ukraine’s Odesa region. According to the State Emergency Service, garages with cars caught fire and residential buildings and shops were damaged.
