In some districts of western Slovakia, first-level fog warnings apply on Sunday morning. Visibility may drop to 50 to 200 meters. The Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMÚ) informed about this on its website.

According to meteorologists, the warnings apply in the districts Skalica, Senica, Malacky, Galanta, Dunajská Streda, Šaľa, Komárno and Nové Zámky. “Reduced visibility represents a potential danger for traffic activities. The occurrence of fog with the above-mentioned visibility is common at the given time of year and area, but it can cause minor damage,” the institute pointed out. Warnings in the mentioned districts are provisionally valid until 12:00 p.m.
