The former secretary of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), Maxim Lebedinschi, was elected as the president of the Lawyers’ Union of the Republic of Moldova, a public association with renowned lawyers from our country.

The announcement was made on the union’s official account, notes Noi.md with reference to

“Today, the Union of Jurists from Moldova held the session of the Extraordinary Congress, during which I was elected as President of the Union. In this way, I sincerely thank the Honorary President of the Union Professor Gheorghe Avornic and the entire UJM team. In the same way, today the new composition of the Union Council was voted on, as well as a new editorial board of the Union was approved. In the near future we will come with details and development visions, everything is just beginning”, Lebedinschi’s message states.

We remind you that Maxim Lebedinschi was a member of the Central Electoral Commission, being promoted by the Socialist Party (PSRM).

He announced in November 2023 that he was elected as the executive director of the public association Union of Jurists from Moldova, by decision of the Permanent Bureau of the Union, and that he is retiring from politics.
