The lifeless bodies of Miguel Bordeos, president of SPB, Mercadona’s supplier company under its Bosque Verde and Deliplus brands, and the founder of the Luanvi sports brand, Vicente Tarancón, appeared this Sunday, as confirmed by sources from both companies. The businessmen had been missing since last Tuesday, October 29, when the flood occurred in Valencia as a result of the damage. Both were that day near the town of Cheste, where they had gone to eat with two other recognized figures from the Valencian business world: the economist and former general director of the EDEM business school Antonio Noblejas and José Luis Marín, owner of the Mas schools Camarena (21st Century Schools).
The four businessmen, all in the close circle of the , had met that day to eat at the La Orza de Ángel restaurant, in Chiva, one of the closest municipalities, close to Cheste. The last time the family members knew about them was after 5:30 p.m. and it is unknown if they had traveled in the same vehicle to the area, where they were surprised by the torrential rains.
That day, the families of Tarancón and Noblejas launched a disappearance alert through the SOS Desaparecidos platform, where details were given for their possible location in the Cheste area. At the moment, the whereabouts of José Luis Marín and Antonio Noblejas are unknown.
Bordeaux, 74, was one of the most recognized business figures in Valencia. In addition to being the head of the SPB family business with 45 years of experience, he founded Cleanity, a company specializing in industrial cleaning and disinfection. He held the vice presidency of the , as well as the presidency of the Association of Detergent and Cleaning Products Companies (Adelma) and the Chemical and Environmental Association of the Valencian Community (Quimacova).
