It was something never seen before. Electorally, the Republicans had hair, beards and mustaches. Furthermore, Trump will return to the White House with a popular mandate only comparable to that of Ronald Reagan in 1981. Reagan shook the world.
Since 1952, every other elected Republican has had their feet firmly planted in tradition. Dwight Eisenhower had commanded Allied troops in World War II. Richard Nixon had one foot bare in childhood poverty, and the other, shod, in plutocracy. The two Bushes, father and son, came from the elite.
After having decapitated the Argentine diplomatic service, the president will make a triple jump, going to Mar-a-Lago even before Trump’s inauguration.
If it happens, nothing good will come out of this meeting.

Until last week, the wind was blowing that, next year, a woman would be appointed as its general secretary, possibly Latin American and probably linked to environmental protection.
