The Palácio do Planalto reopened this Wednesday (6), after almost two years, the photo gallery of former presidents of the Republic, which is located on the ground floor of the Executive headquarters.
The space had been destroyed during 2023. Vandals threw the glass structures that protected the photos to the floor and tore up the images.
Since then, the area of the palace where the images were located was covered by a fence. It was possible to see below that the gallery was practically ready, awaiting opening, a few months ago.
Planalto also removed some coverings that covered part of the reception wall. The original structure was restored, with marble walls.
In addition to the photos of the former and current presidents, (), the gallery gained an extra image, which shows the space itself destroyed after the coup attacks.
