The journalist Natália Guimarãeselected Miss Brazil in 2007, he stated that he considers the Brazilian Luana Cavalcante one strong candidate for the title of Miss Universe 2024. The Pernambuco native will represent Brazil in the contest, which will take place on Saturday (16), in Mexico City, the Mexican capital.
In an exclusive interview with CNNthe runner-up in 2007 highlighted Luana’s spontaneity and brilliance as her strong points in the fight for the crown. According to Natália, the Brazilian representative is capable of presenting a unique shine on the competition stage that is rare to see.
“Luana has quality. In addition to being beautiful, she has incredible qualities that serve as an example for many women. She believes in herself, she knows her potential, she is very intelligent. She is creative, she knows how to explore various women within herself, various characters that are herself, that are real, and I admire that”, declared the Minas Gerais native.
“On the stage, we saw much more than a Miss Brazil, we saw a movie diva there. She is capable of bringing that extra shine, that extra ‘tchan’. We even got scared. It’s unexpected. She has a lot of creativity in bringing the unexpected.”
Natália also pointed out that the fact that Luana has greater control over her preparation for the contest can be positive for her performance, as she is not restricted to the standard strategies adopted by the regional and national branches of Miss Universe and can stand out.
“She has that logic, she thinks, she plans, she participates in her preparation,” said Miss Brazil 2007. “She told me that she designed the dress herself. [do Miss Brasil]she chose the color. She is aware of what values her body, what attitude she should take, what character she will choose to show us on that last day. And that’s exactly what she did when I saw her on the Miss Brazil stage.”
After her season, Natália Guimarães graduated in journalism, presented programs on television (such as Hoje Em Dia, from Record TV, and Duelo de Salões, from Band) and acted in soap operas such as “Caminhos do Coração” and “Bela, a Ugly.” She is married to Leandro Scornavacca, from the KLB group, with whom she has two daughters: 11-year-old twins Maya and Kiara.
