The injury that took Brazilian Rodrygo off the field in the game against Osasuna, last Saturday (09), was confirmed by Real Madrid this Monday (11). The striker had his rectus femoris in his left leg affected, and will not be able to play for the Brazilian team in the November games, for which he was selected.

In the first half of the game for the 13th round of La Liga, Rodrygo fell to the pitch, feeling his right thigh. Replaced by Brahim Díaz, the Brazilian left the field crying.

Rodrygo had been called up by Dorival Júnior for the games against Venezuela, on November 14th, in Maturín, and Uruguay, on the 19th, at Fonte Nova, in Salvador. With the injury, the player is out of the 11th and 12th rounds of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Replacing Rodrygo in the selection is Gabriel Martinelli, from Arsenal. In addition to him, Léo Ortiz also got a chance in the canarinha in the same game against Osasuna, because of the serious injury to the anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee suffered by Éder Militão, who had been called up.

Until then, the expected recovery time for Rodrygo, who was out before the game against Milan, last Tuesday (05), in the Champions League, is unknown. The striker was out of action for a period of two weeks due to another problem in his left thigh.
