These are the collectors located inside the drum. The collector is responsible for rotating and moving the laundry during the cycle. If, despite cleaning the device, there is still an unpleasant odor coming from it, be sure to check the collector. In many models, it can be dismantled and cleaned. However, not every washing machine can do this, so don’t force it.
Home methods for cleaning a washing machine
If you want, first carefully wash the individual elements of the device, where dirt and detergent residues often accumulate. First, soak the powder container in a solution of water and baking soda. After 15 minutes, scrub it with a brush or sponge. This way you will get rid of scale and dried detergent remnants. Then use a sponge to clean the rubber collar around the drum. Try to reach every nook and cranny. Finally, pour 5 heaping tablespoons of baking soda into the drum or throw one capsule into the dishwasher and set an empty wash at 90 degrees Celsius. After the cycle is completed, leave the door of the device ajar to dry the drum.
