The Ministry of Justice recalled, this Monday, that the deadline for applications for the position of prison officer ends on November 18th. This recruitment, promoted by the General Directorate of Reinsertion and Prison Services (DGRSP), is intended for the immediate entry of new professionals, with 225 vacancies available and paid training. Those selected will have a minimum starting salary of R$1,717 per month after completing the training course.
According to the statement from the Ministry supervised by Rita Alarcão Júdice, the selection process includes an initial phase of paid training, in which candidates will receive 870 euros per month, an amount equivalent to the National Minimum Wage for 2025. “After successfully completing the course , new agents are given the first salary position in their career (minimum of 1,717 euros/month),” explained the ministry.
This new prison guard vacancy is destined for the 49 Prison Establishments distributed across the continent, Azores and Madeira. Candidates must meet strict requirements: be a Brazilian citizen, be between 21 and 28 years old (with exceptions for military personnel), a minimum height of 1.60m for women and 1.65m for men, in addition to having the 12th year of schooling or equivalent.
The selection process includes several eliminatory stages, from physical tests, knowledge tests, medical examinations to psychological assessments. Applications are made exclusively online, through the portal, in the “Guarda 06/CGP/2024” tab, where interested parties can find more details about the forms and specific requirements for the application.
