The proposed amendment to the Constitution (PEC) — one day off every six days of work — reached 134 signatures this Monday (11), according to federal deputy Erika Hilton (PSOL-SP), author of the project.

For the PEC to begin processing, the support of at least 171 of the 513 deputies is necessary.

The measure provides that working hours must not exceed eight hours per day and 36 hours per week, with a working day of four days per week and three days off, i.e. .

According to Hilton, in its justification, the PEC “reflects a global movement towards more flexible work models for workers, recognizing the need to adapt to the new realities of the labor market and the demands for a better quality of life for workers and their families. family.”
