With an aggregate score of 4-1, Flamengo overcame Atlético-MG and became five-time champions of the 2024 Copa do Brasil this Sunday (10). With the title, the red and black team from Rio equaled Grêmio as the second team that won the most in the competition. In addition to this year, Flamengo won the tournament in 1990, 2006, 2013 and 2022.
Grêmio finished as champion in 1989, 1994, 1997, 2001 and 2016. However, the biggest winner of the competition resides in Minas Gerais. Leading the list is Cruzeiro, the tournament’s biggest winner with six wins. The most recent happened in 2018, when they defeated Corinthians. Check out the full list below.
