Curious by nature, Bertrand is always on the lookout for the slightest little scoop. Passionate about football, he is never far from football and all the news that comes with it. However, showbiz or political events are also part of his preferred journalistic research.

Living in Marseille for several years, Florent Manaudou – who celebrates his 34th birthday this Tuesday, November 12 – lives in an old mansion, with a view of the sea. A superb place!

which blows out its 34th candle this Tuesday, November 12, 2024, lives in Marseille, in the Vauban district. He moved into a former mansion (on 3 levels and with a sea view) in 2015 in the 6th arrondissement of the Marseille city. An apartment that he once shared, from which he is now separated (he is now in perfect love with it). They had notably undertaken work together.

“Pure joy. After almost two years of renovation, our apartment (Florent’s) is finally finished and ready for use. What an incredible process it has been. It has been so much fun choosing everything we liked”explained the young woman from Danermak, before saying a little more about the chosen style: “The apartment is a Scandinavian pearl in the middle of Marseille. Almost everything inside is Scandinavian, the kitchen, the lamps and even the glasses of water and wine”.

Florent Manaudou showed his interior to our colleagues from House side in 2018, explaining to them this: “The atmosphere is rather vintage with some industrial touches. I like simplicity but also what is alive, like wood and what is worked, like metal.” He presented all the rooms of his house, particularly his kitchen: “It is not closed but rather set back. Before, it was open to the living room but I preferred to move it into the dining room to enlarge the living room.

Note that Florent Manaudou has a “table football”, as well as a “cat tree”. Not to mention that he often has “barbecues” and organizes card games. He also spoke about this abandoned project and the impact of his notoriety on his daily life, from his apartment: “In place of the front veranda, there was to be a terrace. There is still the roller shutter that I close in the evening because of the opposite. For the record, I moved here during the Rio Olympics and I hung a Brazilian flag in my room (where there is a second veranda). The next day, I received a message on my official Facebook page: ‘You have a very beautiful Brazilian flag and what’s more, you play the guitar well.’… I’m learning to live with the neighborhood.

Vauban, a very “popular” district of Marseille

Let us also point out that he does not have a “green thumb”, and that for his “decor”, he trusts Greg & Co, a craftsman in Marseille: “I have had quite a few things made to measure (…) Otherwise, I sometimes ask a photographer friend for little things. Recently, he gave me a photo of Indians in black and white, which he took in the United States, and which he tagged. It gives a rock side.“Florent Manaudou, who as a reminder added that he still has his family in Lyon:”It’s always a pleasure to go back there.

Finally, regarding the district, which is therefore that of Vauban, it is “one of the most popular in Marseille, thanks to its numerous restaurants and shops of all kinds.” In any case, this is what we learn on the site Marseille Tourism. It is a “real little corner of greenery with a view of the sea from its cliffs”.

And it is also in Vauban that you can visit the Notre-Dame de la Garde basilica, which is a true symbol in Marseille.
