The Aliança Global Festival Contra a Fome e a Poverty will be held in Rio and will have presentations by Zeca Pagodinho, Daniela Mercury and Alceu Valença
The Aliança Global Festival Contra a Fome e a Poverza festival – known as Janjapalooza in reference to the first lady Janja Lula da Silva – announced this Tuesday (12.Nov.2024) the 30 attractions, with names such as Alceu Valença, Zeca Pagodinho and Ney Matogrosso.
The event will be held at Praça Mauá, near the Museum of Tomorrow, in Rio, from November 14th to 16th. Entry is free. The festival will take place on the same days as the G20 Social, a summit of civil society representatives, and shortly before the leaders’ summit.

Global Alliance Festival Against Hunger and Poverty
The event was announced by Janja and is named after the theme of Brazil’s Presidency at the G20. The First Lady was also involved in organizing the Festival of the Future, held at the inauguration of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) on January 1, 2023.
Janjapalooza is organized by the federal government in partnership with 11 other institutions, which include Petrobras, the UNDP (United Nations Development Program) and the BNDES (National Bank for Economic and Social Development).
