These small berries are a favorite delicacy of many of us, so it is not surprising that we want to have at least a few bushes in our garden. However, it is worth paying attention to one important fact – blueberries require precise fertilization mainly due to their unique soil requirements and the specific structure of the root system. Since blueberries grow best in soil with an acidic pH, it is worth preparing the soil around the bushes now for the next season. Thanks to this, we will create ideal conditions for fruiting for blueberries. The autumn one will be helpful. Literally 2 tablespoons are enough for the bushes to be covered with fruit in spring.

The key rule is to ensure appropriate soil acidity. This autumn fertilizer for blueberries can be easily prepared at home. First, cut the stale bread into pieces and then soak it in a little water. Set aside for 30 minutes until a thick mass is formed. Stir and add two tablespoons of coffee grounds. Mix thoroughly to distribute the ingredients evenly. Spread the resulting mixture around the bushes and mix it with the top layer of soil. This will create a protective layer of soil that will allow the blueberry to survive the winter. Autumn fertilizer will also acidify the soil, thanks to which the blueberry bushes will bear fruit like crazy in spring. Remember not to use bread with nuts, onion or garlic, as they may negatively affect the plants.
