Questioned by “TMZ”, the presenter denied having received any money from the Democratic campaign

The payment took place weeks after Kamala Harris was interviewed by Oprah Winfrey on the program “Unite for America”. On the eve of the elections, Oprah also made an appearance at a rally in Philadelphia, where she reiterated her support for the Democratic candidate. “We are voting for values and integrity,” Winfrey said at the time.
In addition to Oprah, the report Washington Examiner revealed that Kamala Harris’ campaign spent more than $15 million on event productions. Names like comedian Trevor Noah, the Washington Nationals baseball team and financial service American Express together received $1.8 million for campaign events from September to October.
However, when questioned by a reporter from the TMZ on Monday (12.Nov.2024), Oprah received payment from the Democratic campaign. The presenter’s team issued a statement stating that, despite Kamala Harris paying for the program, Oprah did not receive any money for the interview. The company did not disclose the amounts received.
