Barbie, creator of Barbie, published an apology after a printing error on the packaging of its Wicked dolls was identified by consumers. The link printed on the box that was supposed to direct to the official website of the film adaptation led to an adult content page.
“We deeply regret this regrettable error and are taking immediate action to remedy it. Parents are advised that the incorrect and misprinted website is not appropriate for children.”the company said in a statement sent to .
Mattel advised people who purchased the doll with the wrong packaging to discard or hide the link on the box. The toy is made for children ages 4 and up and costs $24.99 to $39.99.
