If you’re planning to grow your own cucumbers, this tip I got from a gardener will be worth its weight in gold! Because seeing once is better than hearing a hundred times, we also found a great YouTube video for you. In a normal substrate, seedlings consume nutrients in just 2 weeks.
That’s why it’s important to provide them with everything they need… Don’t buy unnecessarily expensive fertilizers from the store and try this natural fertilizer option. Everything you need is found in the kitchen…
Fertilizers from yeast
Yeast contains many beneficial microorganisms that have the ability to break down organic compounds and thus ensure better absorption of nutrients. Practice has shown that it is very useful to use yeast to fertilize cucumber seedlings. Yeast promotes the rooting of seedlings and supports their growth and development. Take 10 g of dry yeast. Pour in 3 liters of water at room temperature and add a spoonful of sugar. Mix well and add 5 tablespoons of this fertilizer to the roots of each seedling after watering.
Prevention of infections
Iodine solution is best for this. Use 4 drops of iodine for 1 liter of water (room temperature). Add another 3 tablespoons of wood ash. You can apply this solution at any stage of cucumber cultivation.
Fertilizers from wood ash
Cucumbers love ash because it is rich in potassium and phosphorus. Mix 1 glass of ash with 3 liters of hot water. Leave to infuse for 24 hours.
Fertilizer from onion peels
Soak 5 onion peels in 1 liter of water. Let it stand for 3 days. Then use this fertilizer on the roots of the seedlings.
We wish you success!
