The Brazilian team kicked off its preparations for the clash with Venezuela, in the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. The match will be this Thursday (14), at 6pm, in Maturín, Venezuela. This Monday (11), coach Dorival Júnior led the first training session.

Due to the distance to the neighboring country, the team chose Belém do Pará as the preparation location. The players called up did an activity at the Mangueirão stadium.

The day was marked by light training, but Dorival already has all the athletes called up. One group performed on Sunday, while another group arrived in Belém in the morning. Abner and Raphinha completed the cast during the afternoon.

“I hope that we can take advantage of everything that was done in the previous two games. We took positive things and we will take them to such an important match. Venezuela is undefeated at their stadium, playing with great property, and we will have a difficult commitment, however , I believe we are even better prepared than in previous matches”, said Dorival Júnior to the CBF website.

Brazil will carry out three training sessions in Belém before leaving for Venezuela. After the game in Maturín, the delegation heads straight to Salvador, where on Tuesday (19) they will face Uruguay, at Fonte Nova.

The Brazilian team occupies 4th place in the qualifiers, with 16 points. Argentina leads the group, with 22 points, followed by Colombia (19) and Uruguay (16). Venezuela is in eighth place, with 11 points, and dreams of reaching the classification zone.
