Economist compiled texts in “A Saga da Crise”; autograph night will be in Botafogo, Rio
The economist and columnist for this Poder360 77 years old, launches his new book this Wednesday (13.Nov.2024) “The Crisis Saga”. The work is a collection of 100 articles written for this digital newspaper. The autograph night will be at the Travessa bookstore in Botafogo, South Zone of Rio, at 7pm.
Gomes was director of the BC (Central Bank) from 1986 to 1988 and of Petrobras from 1990 to 1992. He was president of the Board of Directors of the (National Bank for Economic and Social Development) from 2017 to 2019. He is currently an advisor to the CNC (Confederation of Commerce, Goods and Services).
The book’s preface is by economist Paulo Rabello de Castro, former president of BNDES and the (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics). He said in the text that Gomes’ analysis allowed the anticipation of risks in relation to the Brazilian economy.
