Elite InfoMoney 2024: how we made it to the list of fastest growing companies

For the first time, the InfoMoney recognizes in the select group of publicly traded Brazilian companies that are growing the most in terms of revenue, shareholder returns and brand recognition.

The result reflects the horizontal analysis of a set of financial and brand indicators that measure the performance and consistency of results of Brazilian companies – both those listed on B3 and those that have shares traded on United States stock exchanges.

The methodology was developed by InfoMoney and by Elos Ayta Consultoria, founded by Einar Rivero. Financial data – referring to the years 2021, 2022 and 2023 – collected on the Economatica platform was used, as well as information provided by TM20 Branding Design Bridge and Partners and Landor for the years 2022, 2023 and 2024.

are those that showed the most consistent growth in the six financial and brand indicators considered, which were:

Revenue

The growth in Net Operating Revenue was evaluated in the case of industries; Revenue from Financial Intermediation in the case of banks; and Premium Revenue in the case of insurance companies. The numbers were adjusted by the Broad National Consumer Price Index (IPCA) in December 2023 values.

Net Margin

The growth of the net margin, that is, the relationship between the companies’ net profit and revenue in the three years considered, was assessed.

Return on Equity (ROE)

The growth of ROE in the period was evaluated, an indicator that measures the ability of companies to generate profit from their own capital – that is, from the capital invested by shareholders or owners.

Dividend x Net Equity (PL)

Companies received points if dividends were distributed by companies in the years 2021, 2022 and 2023, in values ​​compared to the PL, a metric that indicates the attractiveness of dividend earnings in the market.

Prize x Ibovespa

Companies received points when their shares performed better compared to Ibovespa in the three years considered.

brand value

The presence of the companies’ brands in the 2022, 2023 and 2024 editions of the TOP 50 Most Valuable Brands in Brazil study, conducted by TM20 Branding Design Bridge and Partners and Landor, was evaluated, as well as the growth in the value of the brands in the period.

Exclusion criteria

They stayed out of Elite InfoMoney 2024 the companies that presented:

  • Negative revenue in any of the three years considered;
  • Negative net worth in 2023;
  • Average daily trading volume of shares on the stock exchange in 12 months lower than the sample median;
  • Net Revenue lower than the sample median.

Score

Companies received points for each classification premise relating to financial data, with a maximum score of up to 16 points. The brand criteria can add seven more points to the count, totaling 23. Below, we detail the criteria:

ROE growth 2021 x 2022: gain 1 point
ROE growth 2022 x 2023: gain 1 point
ROE growth in both years: gains 1 additional point

If greater than zero in 2021: gain 1 point
If greater than zero in 2022: gain 1 point
If greater than zero in 2023: gain 1 point
If you distributed earnings over the 3 years: you earn 1 additional point

If greater than zero in 2021: gain 1 point
If greater than zero in 2022: gain 1 point
If greater than zero in 2023: gain 1 point
If Greater than zero in the accumulated period of 3 years: gain 1 point

  • Score of the most valuable brands

Present in the 2022 ranking: gains 1 point
Present in the 2023 ranking: gains 1 point
Present in the 2024 ranking: gains 1 point
