Nail polish remover
You can use a few drops of regular nail polish remover to remove chewing gum from fabric. When you apply it to the stain, leave it on for a while and then clean the gum with a soft brush. Then wash the garment as usual.
Freezer
The proven freezing method will also help you 100%. Place soiled clothing in a plastic bag and put it in the freezer for a few hours. The gum hardens and you simply remove it using a brush or a small knife to scrape it off.
Hot handkerchief
You can also try another effective trick. Place a hot tissue or washcloth on top of the sticky gum. Thanks to the heat, it softens and can be easily removed again using a knife or a wooden spatula.
Boiling water
Hot water works in a similar way. Pour it directly onto the glued part of the garment and let it work for a while so that the heat penetrates deep into the fibers of the fabric. Then gently scrape the gum as in the previous cases, so as not to damage the fabric.
Iron
You can also remove chewing gum stains with heat from an iron. Place the garment on the ironing board, place a piece of paper on the spot and run the iron over the spot a few times on the reverse side of the fabric. The heat causes the gum to peel off the clothing and stick to the paper. Finally, wash the clothes to remove any residue.
Vinegar
Mix water and vinegar in a ratio of 2:1 and soak the soiled part of the garment in this mixture for a few minutes. Then carefully remove it and scrape off the gum with a knife.
Medical alcohol
Rubbing alcohol also works on stuck gum. Apply it to the stain using a sponge or cloth and let the area soak properly and act for a while. Then again, simply scrape off the gum and wash the garment.
Liquid soap
Liquid pH-neutral soap is another way to remove chewing gum from clothes. First, wet the area with water and then pour some liquid soap on it. Afterwards, use a toothbrush to rub around the chewing gum for a while, which will begin to peel off after a while.
