This divorce, painful and trying, was not decided by him, but by his first wife, an event which deeply marked Gilbert Montagné. In the show, he confides with sincerity: “When you learn that you lost the case, it’s a bit hard.” And even if the separation was an emotional ordeal, the singer assures that he holds no resentment towards his ex-wife, on the contrary: “I don’t blame him. On the contrary, I thank her“, he specifies. This difficult period nevertheless allowed Gilbert Montagné to. One of the stages of this reconstruction was his meeting with Nikole, with whom he married in 1999: “I was very fortunate to have had my reconstruction. It’s Nikole“, he explained, with sincerity. We were able to rebuild a blended family,” he declared when the subject of his children was raised. However, despite the pain of the separation, the singer is delighted with the way they reacted and the strength that they gave him to move forward: “They have always been there for me.”he adds. Today, although Gilbert Montagné suffered, he was able to take advantage of this ordeal to reinvent himself. His blended family, with Nikole at his side and his children always present, allowed him to find balance and love.
