A 41-year-old woman was arrested last Friday in Beliche, in the municipality of Castro Marim, in the Algarve, for being illegally in Portugal, the Republican National Guard announced this Tuesday ().

In a statement, the GNR Coastal and Border Control Unit said that the woman was detected during an inspection operation at nightlife establishments by the Faro Territorial Immigration Inspection Center.

The citizen was in one of the establishments without identification documents, and the military discovered that she entered and remained in Portugal illegally, says the note.

The accused was brought before the Vila Real de Santo António court, which ordered her to be taken to the Temporary Installation Center until the expulsion process from national territory was completed.
