Motta: deputies will not report just ‘women’s project’ – 11/13/2024 – Panel

Favorite to be the next president of , the leader of , (PB), promised the women’s bench in the House more protagonism in the reporting of important projects.

During a meeting this Tuesday (12), he said that female deputies do not only have to report on projects linked to gender issues.

“Why does a woman only have to report a woman’s project? A woman has to report a PEC, she has to report a structuring project, a woman has to report a project of interest to the Ministry of Finance, she has to be discussing the agendas of education, health, infrastructure “, he declared.

Currently, there are 91 female deputies among the 513 in the Chamber, or around 18%. Motta promised that he will run a management dedicated to correcting inequalities against women.

“We will, with great obstinacy, assuming the presidency of the House, have this permanent agenda, of preventing political violence against women here and abroad”, he declared.
